The human body has a remarkable and open ended capacity for expression through movement. Unlike dance, gymnastics and acrobatics Yoga posture practice is based on movements and shapes that open, integrate and nourish. Because of the subtle nature of the body this integration and nourishment is simultaneously physical, energetic, psychological and spiritual. Integration depends on activating the inherent intelligence and integrity of the body, nourishment on accessing the full potential of the bodimind. This requires a broad range of postures that simultaneously nourish as they open the bodimind. Our unique Vinyasa Training Series inlcude almost 1000 safe and accessible postures with which to fine tune your neuromsucualr and energetic capability.

Each of our Vinyasa Training series has a different purpose and effects. These are determined not only by the specific postures used, but also their sequential combination. By using them all you and your students will be able to develop the full potential of your bodimind and become well equipped to self practice in response to the ongoing and changing needs and capabilities of your bodies. Repetition is the heart of somatic education. Learning postures means practising postures. Integrating and nourishing your bodimind means knowing a wide range of postures intimately enough to allow your body to access, express and honour its full potential.

VINYASAXANDRASYA This Training Sequence is based on xandranamaskar and focusses on sensitising, awakening, opening and strengthening all the joints and motor muscles. Its practice allows the dynamics of integrity to be established in the whole body. It invites a deep sensitivity to muscular sensation, and to the impact of action on the joints.

VINYASASUXMASYA This Training Sequence focusses on sensitising, relaxing and nourishing the whole body. Using mainly supine and shoulder inversions it allows the dynamics of integrity to be established easily and effortlessly in the whole body. It awakens and softens the body gently, easily and nourishingly.

THE VINYAXIKITSA This Training Sequence focusses on establishing the bandhas in each part of the body. The series includes xandranamaskar, standing and supine postures and inversions, sequenced to reinforce the activation of the bandhas in the whole body so that they become the spontaneous, inevitable expression of action.

THE VINAYSAMERASYA SERIES establishes deep, strength in the core spinal muscles, while opening the supporting joints of the upper and lower body. The series focusses on extensions and rotations, and includes xandranamaskar and inversions. It is a maintaining practice that provides deep nourishment to body and mind, and promotes good posture and longevity.

THE VINYASADANDASYA SERIES releases and strengthens the back, while loosening the hamstrings. It improves the mobility of the spine and pelvis while developing deep core strength. The series focusses on strengthening backbends and forward bends and includes xandranamaskar and inversions.

THE VINYASASUPTASYA SERIES this is a passive sequence more challenging than Vinyasasuxmasyausing supine postures and shoulder inversions to open, strengthen and integrate the body, while simultaneously softening and nourishing it.

THE VINYASAVAJRASYA SERIES mobilises and strengthens the spine. It focusses on gentle but deepening backbends that open, strengthen and mobilise the spine. This develops spinal flexibility while simultaneously strengtheing the body parts that support the spine.

THE VINYASABUJASYA SERIES reverses the energy flow sending it down from the higher to the lower chakras. This has a deep softening and rejuvenating effect. It allows the body to open deeply and easily. At the same time it counters negative effects of distorted kundalini by settling and grounding unstable energy flow.

THE VINYASANIXISYA SERIES releases each part of the body from habituated tension and overexertion. The series focusses on the closed standing postures that invite deep structural integration by creating deep release in all the joints of the body, while strengthening their supporting muscles.

THE VINYASAYOGASYA SERIES establishes deep integrity in the whole body by integrating all the motor muscles of the body into the relationship between the ribcage and the pelvis. It includes xandranamaskar, standing postures, armbalances, strengthening backbends, spinal extensions, forward bends, rotations and inversions.

THE VINYASAVRITASYA SERIES focusses on rotations, twists and extensions tgat strengthen and soften the core muscles of the body simultaneously.It is a deeply nourishing and internalising practice allowing you to fucs on the depths and subtleties of your practice.

THE VINYASAMUKTASYA SERIES focusses on deep psychosomatic release. The series includes deep, but accessible backbends, twists and forward bends, which in being held for longer periods of time invite and support deep release from mind and body.

THE VINYASAVIRASYA SERIES develops strength and stamina in the motor muscles of the limbs, ribcage and pelvis. This series focusses on balancing postures: including leg and arm balances. This is a chalenging but accessible practice which will quickly develop strength and stamina.

THE VINAYASAMASYA SERIES maintans integrity, strength and mobility in the whole body. It is a balanced, maintaining practice that generates deep physiological and energetic nourishment. It includes xandranamaskar, ullola, standing poses, lunges, balances, extensions, rotations and inversions.
