THE TRAINING SERIES
You will be trained to use the following four series to teach yoga dynamically, safely and effectively:
VINYASASUXMASYA This Training Sequence focusses on establishing the dynamics of integrity in the whole body. This is achived in a sequence of mainly symmetrical ullola and postures that present no real challenge to either flexibility or strength, while opening all the moror joints and strengthening all the motor muscles. The sequence invites a deep sensitivity to muscular sensation, and to the impact of action on the joints.
VINYASAXAKRASYA This Training Sequence focusses on establishing the spiral dynamic of integrity. The mainly symmetrical ullola and postures are accessible enough to allow the spiral dynamic to be effectively used to establish functional integrity between the body parts: especially between the ribcage and the pelvis. They awaken, develop and integrate all the motor muscles and joints and prepare the whole body for activation of the bandhas.
VINYASADANDASYA. This Practice Sequence focusses on establishing deep, core strength, while opening the supporting joints of the upper and lower body. The series focusses on extensions and rotations, and includes xandranamaskar and inversions. Being a maintaining, rather than an opening practice, it provides deep organic and energetic nourishment to body and mind, which fertilises more challenging opening series.
VINYASAMERASYA. This Practice Sequence focusses on releasing and strengthening the back. Its primary purpose is to develop core strength, while improving the strength and mobility of the spine. The series focusses on strengthening backbends and forward bends and includes xandranamaskar and inversions. It releases the back muscles, while strengthening the core muscles of the trunk. This generates a deep structural strength and flexibility.
