FOUNDATION COURSE

This course teaches you how to recognise, access, clarify and apply the inherent intellegence of the body. You will learn how to activate and apply the Dynamics of Integrity to your practice so that it can safely release, open, integrate, vitalise and nourish body, mind and spirit. The Method Module clarifies the basics of yoga posture practice. The Dynamic Module clarifies the spiral dynamic of integration. The Integration Module activates the bandhas in the whole body.

 

THE CONTENT includes:

  • THE PRACTICE OF XANDRANAMASKAR to awaken the inherent wisdom of the body
  • THE ART OF MOVEMENT ullola and vinyasa to to sensitise, awaken and develop muscular and respiratory function and integration, and mind-body synchronicity.
  • THE ART OF BREATH BODY SYNCHRONISATION to release the breath and awaken the meditative mind in action
  • THE PRINCIPLES OF INTEGRATION: clarifying the dynamics of integrity necessary to the safety and effectiveness of yoga practice: the art of activating the bandhas structurally.
  • CLARIFYING THE BANDHAS: clarifying the activation of the seven bandhas their relationship to structural integrity, respiration, energy and awareness
  • THE ART OF INTERNALISATION clarifying and applying basic pranayama and meditation techniques in movement and stillness 
  • THE THEORY OF YOGA. Including exploration of the eight limbs of ashtangayoga, the true nature of action, volition and the self.

You will learn the following Practice Series:

  • VINYASAXANDRASYA. This Training Sequence is based on xandranamaskar and focusses on sensitising, awakening, opening and strengthening all the joints and motor muscles. Its practice allows the dynamics of integrity to be established in the whole body. It invites a deep sensitivity to muscular sensation, and to the impact of action on the joints.

  • VINYASSUXMASYA. This Training Sequence focusses on sensitising, relaxing and nourishing the whole body. Using mainly supine and shoulder inversions it allows the dynamics of integrity to be established easily and effortlessly in the whole body. It awakens and softens the body gently, easily and nourishingly.

  • VINYASAXIKITSA This Training Sequence focusses on establishing the bandhas in each part of the body. The series includes xandranamaskar, standing and supine postures and inversions, sequenced to reinforce the activation of the bandhas in the whole body so that they become the spontaneous, inevitable expression of action.

  • VINYASASUPTASYA More challenging than Vinyasasuxmasya this is a passive Sequence using supine postures and shoulder inversions to open, strengthen and integrate the body, while simultaneously softening and nourishing it.
